Who is VRUM?
VRUM is a private hire platform built by drivers, for drivers. We understand the challenges drivers face because we are drivers ourselves. Our mission is to help you work smarter, earn more, and stay in full control of your schedule through technology and fair policies.
Who can join VRUM?
We are currently onboarding drivers licensed by Tfl, Reigate & Banstead, Slough, South Gloucestershire, Sefton and Wolverhampton This ensures we maintain quality, compliance, and focus as we grow.
How do I sign up?
Fill out the online sign-up form above and upload your valid private hire badge. This step is mandatory. After verification, you will receive instructions to download the driver app and complete your onboarding. Please allow some time for us to process your details.
What types of jobs will I receive?
You will be offered on-demand local and pre-booked jobs such as airport transfers, long-distance trips, corporate bookings, and full-day hires.
Can I choose which jobs to accept?
Yes, you control which jobs you accept or decline through the driver app. Available jobs include Marketplace offers open to all drivers and Exclusive Job Offers based on your performance and vehicle type.
What is the typical job value?
Job values depend on the booking type and distance. Many jobs, such as airport transfers and corporate trips, typically start at around £50-£100 whilst local tripes are from £8-£10. Long-distance and full-day bookings have higher rates reflecting their nature.
What documents do I need to provide?
You will upload your private hire badge, driver’s licence, MOT, vehicle insurance, and other required documents securely in the driver app during onboarding.
How long does the onboarding process take?
Typically, onboarding takes 5 to 10 working days depending on document verification and your location. Once you submit your form.
Is there an activation fee?
Most drivers join for FREE.
You can get started for FREE in one of two ways:
Option 1:
You’re among the first 250 private hire drivers to complete onboarding.
Option 2:
You refer 5 private hire drivers, also licensed by Tfl, Reigate & Banstead, Slough, South Gloucestershire, Sefton or Wolverhampton
If neither applies, a one-time £25 activation fee will apply to cover administrative and setup costs.
Note: This fee may be waived at management’s discretion — ask during onboarding if you believe your situation qualifies.
What commission does VRUM charge?
Commission is tiered based on performance and vehicle type:
All drivers start at 20% commission.
High-performing drivers can reduce commission to 15% and eventually 10%.
When and how will I get paid?
We pay weekly by bank transfer for reliability and simplicity. Some jobs may qualify for same-day payments.
What support will I receive?
You’ll have access to dedicated driver support through our support WhatsApp group. We also provide resources and a driver community to help you succeed.
Can I work for VRUM if I’m currently driving for Uber, Bolt, or a local operator?
Yes, as long as you hold a valid private hire licence. You can work with multiple platforms and benefit from our exclusive offers and fair commissions.
